Aging Effects on Dementia Caregivers
Providing care to someone with a type of dementia can be very challenging, and the risks to a person's health and well-being can affect longevity. This research examines the effects of aging and how the immune system responds to the stress associated with dementia care recipients. The research also shows how some social interventions can mitigate the effects on the immune system. The article describes "prosocial" events that can enhance immune health.
